2017
Client: Assimagra
Part of the First Stone programme, this project results from a partnership between experimentadesign and ALTA International Creative Alliance – which developed the project – and was presented during the EXD’17 Biennale. INSIDE is an audio-visual piece lasting approximately 15 minutes, created to be projected onto 1.024 m2 of the National Coach Museum façade. The technological system used created an immersive and sensorial effect, with real-time generated visual elements, multichannel sound design and video. It represents a completely original way of presenting the universe of Portuguese stone, creating an experience that relates to the various sensorial dimensions of the audience, in an unforgettable narrative about material, industry and project.
App Amorim
2016
Client: Corticeira Amorim
Invited by Corticeira Amorim, experimentadesign developed a book and a digital app that present the most important projects and outputs of this company, which is the leader in its sector. With the title The Future is Our Present, the App, which is free, complements the book and provides a kaleidoscopic perspective of the company. Published in English and presenting a selection of 13 projects, 11 themes and an interview with António Rios de Amorim, it provides a narrative of exploration into cork and its industry. The App was created in partnership with ALTA International Creative Alliance.
Interpretation Centre of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve
2015—2016
Client: Câmara Municipa de Mafra
In response to a challenge set by the Mafra Municipality and in partnership with ALTA International Creative Alliance, experimentadesign created the Interpretation Centre of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve, part of its project for the new Ericeira Tourist Office. With an approach that is strongly based on technology, this highly innovative and interactive project provides a truly immersive experience.
With the objective of revealing the Reserve and its main features: its 7 waves, biosphere, local surf community and useful logistical information, an entertaining and experiential platform was created for the presentation of content and information through an interactive table.
FESTIVAL IN
2013
Client: Fundação AIP
Experimentadesign was responsible for the layout design of Festival IN, which was organized by the AIP Foundation. In partnership with ALTA International Creative Alliance, a mixed-media project was developed, containing projections and an interactive system, created with the general objective of devising a differentiated interface in the area of consumption and content sharing.

This publication provides an in-depth view of the contents of the EXD’13 Biennale. It is an interactive experience that offers detailed information about the conceptual framework of the theme of the Biennale — NO BORDERS — and the specific exhibitions, open talks, conferences, urban interventions and tangent projects. Furthermore, it is an essential guide that contains useful information, maps and profiles of the many international participants that make up the fabric of the Biennale. This publication was a partnership with ALTA International Creative Alliance.
HOUSEWARE EXPERIENCE
2000
Client: Portuguese Pavilion at Expo'2000
Invited by the Portuguese Pavilion at the Expo'2000 in Hanover, and in celebration of National Portugal Day, experimentadesign presented the 2000 edition of the Portuguese mixed-media event "Houseware Experience", which was originally conceived for the end of the EXD'99 inaugural week. A live event that explored the artistic possibilities of technology, mixed-media installations, interactivity and sound design.
