We propose a debate and an active discussion about the design's (im)possible goals: as these are (not)understood by the general public and are (in)defined by the designers themselves. Reflecting about the links between design and other close disciplines, and about the development in the understanding of the discipline itself. A debate-exercise between form and function, fame and profit, aesthetics and ethics, between the role of the design(er) in the society and what the society expects from the design(er) in the contemporary world.
