Spirits were still high on the third day of EXD’11 as even more people came to see the Open Talks: Arquitectura inútil?/ Use-less architecture? with host Pedro Gadanho and guests Gretchen Mokry, Alexandra Lange and Folke Köbberling, followed by Lisbon Lectures by Sulki & Min and Fernando Brízio.  But, keeping with the biennale’s dynamic programme, Magnus Ericson and Ramia Mazé’s Design Act tangent and Utilitas Interrupta exhibition openings. The second day of EXD’11 raised the bar as there was a full day programme already; from the 11am Open Talk to the Lisbon Lectures, Redundância urban intervention opening and Sidelines exhibition opening, the biennale presented a wide spectrum of cultural events that were extremely well received.
